One of my favorite parts of expecting our first child was planning and completing her nursery. I wanted her room to be a place that was comforting for not only her but for us. A place we could go to during the middle of the night wakings and feedings and feel a sense of homeliness and joy. We had her nursery almost completed before I was even in the third trimester (I sit here writing this at 30 weeks pregnant with our second baby and have not even started on his nursery) Oh first baby versus second! (if you know, you know).
When choosing a “theme” for her nursery I wanted something very girly and vintage style. I wanted floral patterns, subtle pink tones, and cozy lighting. I think we achieved the exact look I was hoping for!

The majority of the purchases made for the nursery were done on Amazon, Home Goods, and Target! I did not spend a significant amount of money on anything in her nursery and was able to stay very within budget shopping at these stores!
Large Item Nursery Details
Crib: DaVinci Jenny Lind 3-in-1 Convertible Crib in Ebony – This crib is black wood and comes with removable wheels that we chose not to put on. You can also purchase a separate toddler rail attachment to easily convert this crib to a toddler bed. When choosing a crib I wanted to ensure it was convertible and durable so we wouldn’t have to purchase a new bed in a couple of years!
Crib Mattress : Graco Crib and Toddler Mattress : I found this mattress has over 40,000 5 star reviews and my daughter sleeps great on it! While the Newton Mattress is very highly reviewed and puts a lot of mamas minds at ease with its high safety ratings, don’t feel you have to spend $300+ on a mattress to let your baby sleep safely.
Glider: True Innovations Paxley Fabric Swivel Glider Recliner – This was purchased in grey from Costco. While they no longer have grey, I highly recommend this recliner. It is unbelievably comfortable, rotates 360 degrees, and reclines easily. One this I find important about recliners (especially for feeding) is ensuring the armrests are at a good height for you to sit comfortably and hold your baby. This is a very similar option on Amazon
Dresser: Vintage 8 drawer dresser – We purchased ours refurbished from Facebook Marketplace but I have attached a similar one!
Changing Pad/Basket: Moses Basket– While this is adorable for the changing table, I will say our little one did outgrow it fairly quickly. When she did, we changed to a traditional changing pad.
Boho White Beaded Light Fixture – We found this super subtle and easy to install!
Gold Vintage Floor Lamp – We purchased ours from Target, but I attached a similar one from Amazon here!
Gold Circular Mirror – We did purchase ours from Home Goods, but these can be found at many stores
Floral Wallpaper : We applied the top two sections of this wallpaper to her back (primary/accent) wall behind her crib, and did an ease board and batten on the lower half of the wall.
