Many women focus on the items they need throughout the three trimesters of pregnancy. Please do yourself a favor and never forget about that fourth trimester, which for many, can be the most difficult. These are the items/products I found most helpful in my postpartum journey and labor recovery. This mama had an almost 9.5 lb baby vaginally and I found these items provided a lot of comfort in my healing. While I did not have a c-section, I did list some items that I know can be helpful with c-section scar healing. Most of the items used in my recovery are also helpful with a c-section recovery.
I believe staying active and eating healthy and nourishing foods throughout my pregnancy made a huge positive impact on my quick recovery. This is not to say I didn’t have days where I was too exhausted to workout or couldn’t stomach the thought of a “healthy meal” and opted for a bowl of cereal. Be sure to always give yourself grace! Remember, God chose you to grow and mother this baby, you were made for this.
